Welcome to the world of illustration, drawing, and anime. Join Mrs. Connell on an introduction to the world of comics. Students will study artists from around the world including Studio Ghibli, Christopher Hart, Yamamuro, and more. Students will learn from various animators' styles to create their own unique style! Students’ goal will be to leave at the end of the week with their own comic book. There will be a special guest appearance by Abilene native, New York-based author and illustrator Travis Nichols!

*Fee includes all supplies, a tote bag, and snacks.

Travis Nichols is an author and illustrator of books and comics for kids. His books have been published by Penguin Random House, Chronicle, Macmillan, and Viz. He has written and illustrated comics for SpongeBob SquarePants, Uglydoll, Nickelodeon Magazine, and Hello Kitty. When not writing and drawing, Travis makes cool stuff, collecting hobbies, and spending quality time with his favorite people on earth.
