Pamela Gilbreth Watkins has been creating and producing fine art at the professional level for fifty years. Her work encompasses a wide variety of styles and media.She has received numerous recognitions, awards, and special commissions. Her credits include commissioned works for theTexas State Game Warden’s Association, The John Middleton Memorial Foundation, Ruidoso Downs, Inc., Collin Street Bakery, Bluebell Creameries, Fort Chadbourne, and the Buffalo GapHistoric Village Museum, to name just a few.

She has been represented by galleries in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Wyoming and Nevada. Her group exhibitions include the prestigious Loveland Invitational, Sculpture in the Park (Loveland, CO),the Western Heritage Classic, The Texas Cowboy Reunion and others--as well as hundreds of solo shows in both public and private venues. Pamela is a signature member of the Center For Contemporary Arts in Abilene, Texas. She is involved in art venues, professional organizations and non-profits throughout the state. Pamela has served on the Advisory Boards of the Buffalo Gap Historic Village Museum and the Abilene ArtsAlliance.She is a professional writer and photojournalist whose freelance work has appeared in a variety of publications. She also publishes Applause and Acclaim, an online journal promoting the arts and humanities and cultural affairs. A credentialed educator, she has taught in both public and private schools from the elementary through the university level. Pamela currently heads the visual arts department at Clyde CISD where she and her esteemed colleagues in the Fine Arts Department collaborate to produce an atmosphere of culture and higher learning in a rural environment.
