Artist member, Sandra J. Hastings brings us eye-catching photographs of two local lakes in her first solo exhibition at the CCA.

“It is not my intention to compare the two lakes but to instill an awareness to my audience of their simple serene beauty and contrasting harsh reality of unforgiving drought conditions combined with uncaring human spoliation of nature. A mixed emotional visual journey: feelings of hope, calmness and strength in contrast to sadness, anger and helplessness.

My fine art photography and mix-media art reveals my journey of place, time and set of experiences with the Two Lakes: Hordes Creek Lake and Lake Abilene.”
