This show is about perspectives on the land in West Texas and the pull it exerts on the people who live here. This land has been traveled, used, fought over and sold, constantly changing boundaries and frontiers, both natural and man-made. The landscapes and ground in West Texas can be viewed from different perspectives which this exhibit offers for the viewers consideration; boundaries, frontiers, stewardship and relationship.
The six women featured in this exhibit all bring their unique backgrounds, skills and experience to bear on their work as real estate agents. Just as all the images in this exhibit were taken on shoots for real estate listings, so the people who use the images have influence over who purchases the land and for what purposes. Caretaking and stewardship always figure prominently in the transfer of land from one party or generation to the next.
