Each camp wraps up with a Friday Mini Exhibit where campers get to show off all the amazing artwork they created throughout the week! Family and friends are invited to come celebrate their creativity and see the gallery transformed with their masterpieces. You’ll receive all the specific details during the week of camp!

This vibrant Caribbean summer camp invites young artists to explore tropical fish, colorful island life, festive masks, and rich cultural traditions. Campers will experiment with bold color, pattern, and texture while building creative confidence and art skills.

Jennifer Nichols
Jennifer Nichols is a fine art, wildlife, and conservation photographer and Gallery Director at McMurry University, where she also teaches photography and gallery studies. Her work has been featured in numerous juried exhibitions across Texas, and she has served as principal photographer for the Abilene Zoo for many years.

EMILIO TOLENTINO
Emilio Tolentino is an art educator who inspires students by fostering a creative, supportive environment where they can take risks, grow, and enjoy the process of making art.

BETHANY CONNELL
Bethany Connell is an Abilene-based artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Abilene Christian University, specializing in illustration, animation, and character design. She has taught art in schools, offered private lessons, and worked with local museums and arts organizations throughout the community.

BRITTANY BENNETT
Brittany Bennett is a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art and an Art Teaching Certification for grades EC-12. A lifelong artist and proud mother, she has been teaching officially for three years and believes that art is one of the most meaningful things a person can share.

Sally Stokes
Sally Stokes is an art teacher at Anson Middle School who has had a lifelong passion for creativity. She believes all children are born artists, and she dedicates her teaching to helping students explore their own creative voices.

The Center for Contemporary Arts Summer ArtCamps are a multi-faceted endeavor designed to achieve wholesome educational recreation for youth, instill a sense of community service, build self-esteem by providing opportunities to create legacies to contribute to the community, and create opportunities for inter-generational interaction.
CCA ArtCamps are led by local Artists and Educators. The camps are for those who are entering first through eighth grade.
