The Center for Contemporary Arts is celebrating our 20th Anniversary this year. The Center’s Summer Fundraiser will be held at Perini Ranch Steakhouse August 22nd. The event theme is “I Wanna to Go Home to the Armadillo”. Local artists are busy designing armadillos which will be touring Austin, Buffalo Gap and Abilene during their road-trip beginning July 13th in Austin and ending the 22th in Abilene.

If you can not make it to Austin to view these little guys don’t worry they will be making a pit stop at Buffalo Gap Historic Village in August. Make sure to find the armadillo that you can take home! A silent auction will be held during the event on Saturday, August 22nd. Each individual armadillo will be on auction during the fundraiser.

In addition to the wonderful atmosphere at Perini Ranch Steakhouse there will be a live band “Dusty Creek” performing at 7pm. This West Texas inspired band comes to us from Roscoe and Colorado City. They began their career in 1979, consist of one base, one steel, and two “regular” guitars & drums. The band will perform Gary P. Nunn’s “London Homesick Blues”.

All proceeds go to the Center for Contemporary Arts to fund/support the Center and its programs.
